Steven Saraisky is a member of the Tax, Trust & Estates Department at Cole Schotz P.C. He has a diverse practice focused on estate planning, estate administration, and business and tax planning for closely-held businesses. He works closely with his clients to achieve their goals of preserving wealth, promoting family harmony, and minimizing the impact of taxation.

For an individual or family, Steve advises on estate planning and the gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax considerations of such plans. Frequently, this involves complex estate planning with Wills, insurance trusts, and the implementation of sophisticated estate planning techniques. Steve advises those with international affairs regarding the U.S. aspects of their planning. Estate administration is also a significant part of Steve’s practice and involves probate issues, preparation of estate tax returns, tax advice, and the orderly distribution of an estate.

Steve has substantial experience with high stakes Will contests, power of attorney abuse, breach of fiduciary duty, and similar cases. Steve also provides counsel on all phases of the business lifecycle, including succession planning that addresses matters such as cash flow for a retiring owner or surviving spouse, transitioning a business to the younger generation in a tax-efficient manner, management succession, or preparing a business for sale. Steve also advises private foundations and public charities regarding operational and tax issues. Steve is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
